An account written by J.W. Tyrrell of the GSC expedition to the Barren Lands in 1893. The pamphlet includes a portrait of Tyrrell in arctic dress and a plate titled: 'Valley in the Barrens'.
A stamp on the cover of many of the copies indicates that Tyrrell read this report before the Ontario Land Surveyors Association on 27 Feb. 1896.
"The map, titled Route of the Tyrrell expedition of 1893 through northern Canada, was evidently drawn by J.W. Tyrrell. It includes names such as 'Tobaunt Lake', 'Telzoa River' favoured by James Tyrrell, not found on other published versions of the map."
Item forms part of the sub-series entitled 'Printed works'.
