Item is a photograph of a small lake to the north of the station at Ashe Inlet. The photograph may have been taken by W.A. Ashe, observer at Ashe Inlet during the Hudson Bay Expedition of 1884.
Title taken from inscription on mount.
This is probably the lake described by expedition member Robert Bell as 'a shallow looking lake ... discharging south and westward into Ashe's Inlet'.
