Item is a photograph of an expedition member looking through a telescope while seated in a small snow-covered hut. Other apparatus is visible on the roof of the hut. The photograph may have been taken by W.A. Ashe, observer at Ashe Inlet during the Hudson Bay Expedition of 1884.
