Item is a photograph of approximately twenty-five Inuit posing outside the wooden station house at Stupart's Bay. In the foreground are sacks of provisions and lumber. The photograph was taken on the Hudson Bay Expedition of 1884 under the command of Lieut. A.R. Gordon.

"All the supplies needed to construct the station buildings were carried on the S.S. Neptune, along with fuel and other provisions sufficient to maintain the stations over the winter, until they could be re-supplied the following summer. "
