Item is a newspaper clipping reporting on an interview with J.B. and James Tyrrell conducted in Toronto on Jan. 20, 1894, and describing the 1893 expedition to the barren lands. The article notes that the expedition party included three Mohawk canoeists from Kahnawake, Quebec, and three Chipewyan guides from Saskatchewan and describes the various animals encountered, including a vast herd of reindeer which replenished the expedition members' food supply. The interviewer also notes that the Tyrrells' were finding it difficult to readjust to living indoors.
