Item is a newspaper clipping which includes a letter from J.B. Tyrrell on the 1893 expedition to the barren lands, written at Fond-du-Lac, describing James Tyrrell's survey of Lake Athabasca, and noting the death of the Hudson's Bay Company officer at Fond-du-Lac, Jose Mercredi, the previous year.
